Through the use of pioneering techniques in storage &, computing, customers can reliably store their data on Amazon’s proven computing infrastructure to achieve virtually limitless storage capacity at minimal cost. Amazon S3 provides a simple web services interface that enables customers to store and retrieve any amount of data from anywhere in the world. It provides all customers access to the same highly , reliable, secure, fast, inexpensive infrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global of websites. The service aims to maximize benefits of and to pass those benefits on to the customers.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our new team to help us build a next generation product. You will focus on the challenges of writing software to handle the vast array of S3 use cases with performance being the central binding theme. You will brainstorm new experiences with customers that break ground in enabling new enterprise workloads on S3. You will mentor a group of engineers to build solutions that impact a wide range of customers with a focus on standards in coding, testing, and delivery.
S3 services are highly available, but there are times when we occasionally stray away from our normal operations. To minimize the impact of such excursions, we have on-call rotations. However, we set these up so there are focused time periods when you are on-call and when you are not, so you can focus on your day job when not on-call.
A day in the life
-Work closely with product management and customers to understand the business and user requirements
-Break down high level use cases into concrete technical implementation steps and identify the best solution for a given problem
-Responsible for end-to-end feature development, design and development, test, maintenance and support of software artifacts
-Architect, design, proof-of-concepts and implement projects end to end with high quality
-Communicating with customers, technical teams and defining technical strategy
-Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology. Stay updated on new technologies and work with management and development team to adopt new technologies
-Develop and mentor other team members

· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
· Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science
· Experience in building systems at
· Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
· Adept at handling ambiguous undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly
· Experience in Rust
